*Please send site plan and other attachments to planning.development@ectorcountytx.gov , please include address in the subject line on the email.*

  • Permits are available on the Planning and Development website, the office at 1010 E. 8th St. Ste 114 or by links provided
    Development Structure - to ensure the elevation of a structure is at or above 1ft of crown of road.
    Drive Approach - needed to insure the driveway is connect to a county road properly.
    Right-Of-Way - needed when work is being done within a county road right-of-way.
    Cell Tower - needed as a reference for who owns the tower. 
  • There is no charge to obtain a permit. 
  • Valid Address – contact Eddie Vasquez at 432-381-0098
    Site Plan that includes location and distance of septic and water well from structure on the property
    Septic Permit – contact Health Department at 432-498-4141 
  • The permit is valid for 6 months. 
  • An inspection is required when the forms to a structure are set.
    Drive approach need to have a preliminary inspection.

  • Elevation certificate is an essential tool that documents and confirms your home’s elevation relative to the estimated height floodwaters will reach in an event of a major flood in a high-risk area. 
  • An elevation certificate can be obtained from an engineering company.
